Real Progress….is shown in the interim report

The Lanyado Boogie Mites School Ready Music Programme is making strong progress across its eight partner schools, with clear milestones already achieved.

During Autumn Term 2025 to February 2026, Boogie Mites tutors successfully delivered all planned practitioner training and six in-school modelling visits per setting. These sessions have significantly boosted staff confidence, with practitioners now independently leading music activities and embedding them into daily routines.

Early impact….on children is already visible.

Teachers report improved listening, attention and participation, particularly among Reception pupils with speech, language and communication needs. Some children are now independently initiating songs during play—an encouraging sign of learning transfer. Engagement levels have notably increased among those previously in the lowest 20% of attainment.

Parent workshops, delivered during Autumn/Winter 2025, received excellent feedback, with families gaining practical tools to support learning at home. While attendance varied, those who participated reported increased confidence and enjoyment.

Looking ahead…..key actions are in place

Spring Term 2026 will include further tutor-led workshops and targeted SEND group support, alongside video review meetings with school leads.

Mid-year staff feedback will be collected in April 2026, followed by EYFS baseline assessments at the end of the academic year.

Transition workshops for parents are scheduled for June/July 2026, with final evaluation feedback gathered in October and a full report published in November 2026.
